Illustrative Society is a pioneering collective established in 2015 by Joe Tuliao and Tristan Anderson. We stand as a cornerstone in the dance community, offering exceptional training and a secure platform for artists to expand their artistry, gain exposure, and receive industry-relevant training. Our mission is to nurture artistic talent and foster creativity within the dance community. Illustrative Society operates as a community-driven initiative, aimed at giving back to the community and mentoring a new generation of artists.

Illustrative Society Cast 2024 Season: This year marks a significant milestone for Illustrative Society as it is the first year back after the pandemic in 2020. Now more than ever, it is crucial to bring Illustrative Society back for the community as it serves as a safe space for artists to evolve and express themselves creatively.

We are thrilled to announce our show production for the Illustrative Society Cast 2024 Season, titled "ICON". This production, creatively directed by Joe Tuliao, centers around the idea that we are the main character of our own movie called 'life'. It explores the journey with its ups and downs, highlighting how each experience contributes to creating a fulfilling and meaningful story to look back on. "ICON" expands the possibilities of what we can write for our future as we look ahead with optimism and determination.

ICON is an immersive theatrical experience that challenges societal norms and celebrates authenticity. Set in a black box theater, the show blurs the lines between reality and fiction through visual projections, live performances, and interactive storytelling. As characters navigate their own journeys of self-discovery, the audience is invited to rewrite their own narratives, embrace their authenticity, and become icons of their own stories.
